Sophos MSP Connect presents accelerated growth

The Sophos  (LSE: Soph), the global leader in next-generation cybersecurity solutions, today announced a significant worldwide growth in the MSP Connect, a program for managed service providers (MSPs) that aims to expand market opportunities and revenue streams with Sophos’ portfolio of solutions and services. The growth is fueled by the growing demand for Sophos’ innovative offerings when it comes to protecting against increasingly sophisticated and evolving cybersecurity threats.

“Channel partners have an extraordinary opportunity to protect organizations against complex ransomware, such as the recent attacks by Maze , WastedLocker and Dharma , and other threats – including the increase in this year’s attack campaigns , which feed on the fear caused by the Coronavirus , ” Said Scott Barlow, Vice President of Global MSP at Sophos . “MSPs are also increasingly under attack through remote monitoring and management (RMM) and professional service automation tools (PSA), poorly configured firewalls and endpoints, and targeted phishing scams. Sophos reduces these risks, and our recent growth dynamic is a direct reflection of our proven track record in protecting partner and customer environments ”.

The Sophos MSP Connect solution now supports more than 12,500 global and regional MSPs worldwide, representing a 30% increase since the start of Sophos’ fiscal year in April 2020. MSP’s turnover also increased 56% during that period, with the most significant annual growth in the Americas and Western Europe.

Demand by Partners for Sophos’ complete portfolio of products and services – including Sophos Intercept X , Sophos XG Firewall , Sophos Cloud Optix and Sophos Managed Threat Response (MTR) – continues to increase. Sophos MTR, which was launched in October 2019 as a fully managed threat hunting , threat detection and response service and that merges machine learning with human analysis to achieve an evolved approach to proactive security protection, now supports more than 1,000 customers. Being one of the threat hunting services most used in the market, it is the only one that actively neutralizes threats in real time as part of its base service.

“At the beginning of the pandemic, we made the decision to distribute the full range of Sophos security solutions – starting with the Sophos MTR – to all of our customers, to ensure their protection in the office and at home,” explained Chris Wanamaker, CEO of GeeksHD . “ Sophos’ innovative security solutions are the best on the market, without exception. They are the cornerstone of our company’s success, and, above all, they are critical to protecting organizations against advanced threats . ”

Sophos solutions are easily manageable on the Sophos Central Cloud-based platform , where MSPs can supervise multiple customer installations, respond to alerts and track licenses and upcoming renewal dates through a single, intuitive interface. With Sophos’ unique approach to synchronized security , solutions share intelligence on threats in real time to achieve a coordinated and automated threat response.

“The only way to protect ourselves from unscrupulous cybercriminals is to stay one step ahead of them, and Sophos endows us with threat intelligence and next-generation synchronized solutions to do just that,” commented Bob Pankratz, Technosis CEO .“We are always looking for new ways to ensure the security of our customers, as they migrate to Cloud environments and adopt other technologies. We have trusted Sophos for many years due to its resolute search for a complete and synchronized ecosystem, and as a result, we are working smarter – not harder. Sophos MSP Connect saves us resources and empowers our team and our customers to quickly adapt their defenses and meet changing needs. In return, we are able to reinvest these resource savings into the services and technologies that our customers need. ”

Managed IT security services, like the technologies they use, must be efficient and effective to get things done and maintain growth. Managed service providers (MSP) know that it is a challenge to find a cost effective solution to protect their customers, one that is easy to manage, reliable and that offers flexibility and full visibility over all licenses. Find out more in the Sophos Whitepaper “Unified next-gen protection: Guide for MSPs on cybersecurity as a system” .
